The MCA ACADEMY 2021

Manawatu Cricket are proud to announce the launch of the MCA Academy 2021.

The programme will be lead by MCA Director of Cricket, Dilan Raj. Dilan has coached many of our current male and female first class and international players and has used this experience to design a comprehensive programme that is specific for our Manawatu Elite Cricketers.

The programme will be supported by Sydney Thunder, Manawatu Rugby Academy, Central Districts Pathway and Palmerston North City Council (Grounds).

Academy cricketers will have access to specialists in Strength and Conditioning, Mental Skills, nutrition, specific skill sets, coach development, umpiring and pitch preparation. The programme will look to grow the whole athlete in all walks of their lives and give them the opportunity to experience other aspects of cricket outside playing.

Academy Eligibility:

* 15 years and upwards

* Manawatu Cricket Association Representative Cricketer

* Players must have the potential to play for Central Districts and National age-grade sides.

* You must be motivated and committed to succeed in all walks of life.

NB:

** The MCA Academy programme sits below the Central Districts First Class Programme and Performance Squads

Cost:

* There is no cost for the Academy Programme, Coaching and Facilities

* Academy Clothing (TBA)

* Opt-in Bat Making Programme (TBA)
