Board Members

Carla na Nagara

Carla is the current Chairperson of the Manawatu Cricket Association, taking over from current Board Member Don Cleland at the 2018 AGM.  Carla joined the MCA Board in 2016 but has always had strong links to the MCA through her sons, who have represented the association through the age groups and now into the Manawatu Men's team. Carla is also the current scorer for the MCA Senior Men's Team.

Murray Brown

Murray is the current President of the MCA and has been since 2016. Murray has a proud history with the MCA being a former club and rep player and a past board member. Murray has also played a major role in the education sector.

Derek Dilks

Derek joined the MCA Board in 2006 and has had a long involvement with cricket in the region. An accountant by trade, Derek leads the board on the financials and provides plenty of support for the MCA Operations Manager.

Paul Gibbs

Paul joined the MCA Board in 2006 after a long association with cricket in the district as a club and rep player, and recently through his links with PNBHS. Paul played for a number of years with Palmerston Cricket Club before becoming a player coach for PNBHS, where he still regularly dons the whites in the 4th XI.

Craig Rowe

Craig was appointed in 2012 to the MCA Board and has been a great contributor to the grassroots of the game through the Te Kawau Junior cricket club and Coaching/Managing several MCA age-grade rep sides for both boys and girls. Craig has strong ties to cricket, with his daughter Hannah being a current WhiteFern and son Braden in the Senior men's squad.

Rachel Wenham

Rachel joined the MCA Board in 2016 for the first time. However, this was not her first time in cricket management, having been a member of the Women's Cricket Committee previously. Rachel played cricket to a high standard representing Manawatu and Central Districts on many occasions. She still has strong links to the association with her three children representing the MCA through the age-grade rep teams.

Jamie How

Jamie was the third member of the current Board to join in 2016. As most will know, Jamie had a distinguished cricketing career with Manawatu, Central Districts and the Blackcaps. His playing knowledge is second to none, and that experience on the Board is used to good effect when setting up our playing and training programmes. Jamie is still involved with cricket through the Marist Cricket Club.

Katrina Barber

Katrina has been on the board for 2 years and is an awesome leader and supporter of MCA. Katrina works as a crown prosecutor and is also a fantastic team manager.
