Smash Yard! Cricket
We all remember those games of Backyard Cricket with friends or whānau over summer. The taped up tennis ball, one hand one bounce and whatever rules we could come up with depending on where we were playing and with whom! That is what Smash Yard! Cricket is all about!
An after school programme that is fast paced and action packed. Players can register via their school. Games will be created each evening during the 1 hour session so plenty of opportunity to be part of the action. Our Smash Yard! Activators will set up games with the players getting input into the rules of each game.
As with all our Smash Cricket programmes, values are important to us and our Smash Yard! Activators will ask the players how our new values will be displayed - Inclusive & Respect.
Games will see every player get a turn at batting, bowling and fielding in small games. All equipment will be provided and you can play in whatever ‘uniform’ you wish!
Term 4 2025 is open to all players in either Year 5 & 6 or Year 7 & 8 at school. If girls would prefer a girls only programme then Yeah! Girls Smash is the one for you!

Year 7&8s, Tuesdays at Ongley Park, Park Road from 4-5pm, Tuesday 14th October - Tuesday 18th November.
Year 5&6s, Thursdays at Ongley Park, Park Road from 4-5pm, Thursday 16th October - Thursday 20th November.
Ashhurst HUB
Year 5&6s & Year 7&8s, Tuesdays at Ashhurst School from 3.30-4.30pm, Tuesday 14th October - Tuesday 18th November
Feilding HUB
Year 5&6s & Year 7&8s, Fridays at Kowhai Park from 5.15pm-6.15pm, Friday 17th October - Friday 21st November.
