General Manager: Tim Richards

Tim started with the Manawatu Cricket Association as General Manager in 2022 after previously working for the MCA as Junior Cricket Coordinator from 2014-16. Tim is the person to talk to about the association finances, including sponsorship opportunities and fundraising events. He will also be the person to talk to about the day to day operations of the association including cricket draws for all Manawatu Cricket run grades and competitions.

Director of Cricket: Dilan Raj

Dilan is well known to many of our cricket community through his previous role with Cricket Wanganui and his various coaching roles with both CD Cricket and NZ Cricket. Dilan has worked with many of the talents identified Manawatu Cricketers over the last 10 years including Manawatu Black Caps George Worker, Adam Milne, and many of our CD Stags and CD Hinds. 

Dilan's cricket coaching career includes recent roles as Director of Cricket at Wanganui Collegiate, a High-Performance Coach for NZ Cricket and CD U17 Boys Cricket Coach.  In 2020, Dilan was named Central Districts U19 Women's Coach, a role he continued alongside the MCA Director of Coaching role. Originally from Sri Lanka, Dilan's playing career featured first-class and List A cricket for Zimbabwe, before moving to New Zealand in 2000.

Kaiārahi Rangatahi Youth Cricket Coordinator: Cole Freeman

Cole started with MCA as the Kaiārahi Rangatahi Youth Cricket Coordinator prior to the 2020/21 season.

Cole has a Bachelor of Sports Management from Massey University, prepping him well for this role. He has been a part of the MCA summer squad of coaches in previous seasons before transitioning into his current role.

In the 2021/22 season, Cole will lead all Junior Cricket, Secondary Cricket, and School programmes in the Manawatu region.

Growing up, Cole played age-group representative cricket, and is eager to help the future Manawatu Representatives, Stags, Hinds, Black Caps and White Ferns!
