Manawatū Cricket Association – General Manager
Lead cricket in the Manawatū and continue the 125 year history of the Association.
The Manawatū Cricket Association (MCA) seeks a proven leader with:
Demonstrable business acumen and a proven record of delivering on strategic objectives and managing budgets.
Experience of managing and developing staff.
A proven ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
About the Role:
Based in Palmerston North, you will lead MCA and manage the operations to deliver the strategic objectives set by the Board. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue the legacy and shape the future of New Zealand’s premier summer sport in the Manawatū and beyond. While full-time, this role offers flexible working hours to best support MCA activities and events, and includes occasional evening and weekend commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the MCA team
Driving the implementation of the MCA strategic plan
Ensuring financial sustainability and growth
Building and maintaining constructive relationships with MCA partners and the cricket community
Hosting events and tournaments
Managing resources and facilities
About You:
Proven senior leadership and operational management experience within sport, recreation or business.
Demonstrated experience in the supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and managing projects.
Proven experience in managing budgets and securing funding.
A confident, clear, and approachable communicator who works well with people from across the cricket community.
