General Manager: Jason Fletcher

Jason started with the Manawatū Cricket Association as General Manager in 2025. 

Jason brings more than a decade of sport administration experience to MCA gained in prior roles with Squash New Zealand and Sport Manawatū. Before moving into the sports sector, Jason had almost 20 years working in retail banking and finance. Along with his organisational experience, Jason has an excellent record in coach development and as a high performance coach.

Jason is deeply connected to Manawatū cricket having played representative, club and secondary school cricket in the region. He played for the PNBHS 1st XI that won the inaugural Gillette Cup [now Boys First XI cup], senior club cricket for the Palmerston Cricket Club and then going on to represent the Manawatū Men’s team.

Competitions & Pathway Facilitator: Cole Freeman

Cole has started at Manawatū Cricket Association as the Competitions and Pathway Facilitator after previously working in the role of Youth Cricket Coordinator.

Cole oversees the representative & development programmes, senior club cricket, twilight cricket, and is the superuser for PlayHQ.

Coach Development and Programmes Lead: Bjorn Dix

Bjorn joined the team at Manawatū Cricket as the Coach Development & Programmes Lead at the start of the 2023/24 season. While supporting and growing coaches across the region via Manawatū Cricket and New Zealand Cricket initiatives is a priority, Bjorn will also oversee our programmes and work closely with other staff to ensure we are providing the best opportunities for our participants.

Kaiārahi Rangatahi Youth Cricket Coordinator: Logan Hey

Logan started at MCA in the Kaiārahi Rangatahi Youth Cricket Coordinator role at the start of 2023/2024 season.

Logan grew up playing cricket and coming through secondary school cricket before being part of the summer squad of coaches for 2 summers prior to starting role with MCA, which set him up well for the job. 

For the 25/26 season Logan will be leading all Junior Cricket, Secondary Cricket, and also in school programs in the Manawatu Region.
